MY CURRENT WISHLIST #2

August has came to an end and surprisingly, there's not too much I've spotted that I loved this month. There are a few things though so I thought I'd share my current wishlist with you all!

Philosophy's hope in a jar night cream - £38
If I'm totally honest I've read a lot of mixed reviews about this product ranging from smelling like wet dog to being the best product ever. I love every Philosophy product I've tried so far so I'm hoping I'll love this too! I don't currently use any night treatments so I'd love to give this a try.

Topshop's lipstick in Ditsy - £8
I was in Topshop when I saw this super cute shade ditsy and fell in love. I purchased Ohh La La a couple of months back and I always use it so I thought I'd have a look at Topshop's other shades. This one's a fave.

Whistles rivington leather clutch bag - £80
If you read my last current favourites, you'll know that I featured the Whistles medium croc clutch, this is basically the same apart from it has a chain and is more of a rectangular shape. I'm so torn between the two of them! Help!

Kurt Geiger's Bond heels - £250
I'm obsessed with these heels. I love the super thin heel and the red/orange colour is my absolute favourite. NEEEEEED.

Elephant necklace from Overstock.com - £33
I used to have a little elephant pendant necklace from Topshop not too long ago but as it was on the cheaper end it changed colour which was super unattractive and just ended up looking dirty. I spotted this little beauty on overstock.com and fell in love as it's just the same as my old one yet will hopefully stay the same this time round.

Whistles ripped jeans - £145
I've wanted another pair of ripped jeans foooorever and spotted this pair in Whistles. Of course they had to go on my list. Ripped jeans + Whistles = LOVE.

Philosophy's French vanilla bean 3-in-1 - $17
If you didn't already know, I'm completely in love with anything from Philosophy. I was browsing the Sephora website and spotted the French vanilla bean 3-in-1. I've never actually saw the vanilla bean scent in the UK so I kinda freaked out when I saw this. I wanna try this soooooo bad!

YSL BABYDOLL MASCARA

It feels like absolutely foooorever since I last wrote a blog post. I've been super busy this past week as I officially finished training and finally started my new job. As you can imagine, if I haven't had time to blog, I most definitely haven't had time to shop so therefore I've purchased barely anything recently. I came across my YSL Babydoll mascara which I've been dying to use but I have a whole lotta other mascaras which need used up first. I basically just couldn't resist one morning whilst doing my makeup and I wasn't at all disappointed with the results. If I'm honest, I'm not the biggest fan of mascara. I just don't feel you can tell when someone's wearing a really nice one as, to me, most look the same after a few hours. I usually just find a one that I love and stick to it. I'm mostly just drawn to the packaging and this one's absolutely beautiful.

First I curled my eyelashes and then applied the YSL Babydoll mascara and instantly my lashes had so much more volume and length. I completely fell in love with this mascara! It also stays soooo well as by the end of the day it looked as though I had just applied it. It has a flexible brush which helps to prevent the wand from transferring mascara onto your eyelids whilst applying. So many people started asking if I was wearing false eyelashes as my lashes aren't long at all which was a massive compliment and made babydoll an absolute winner. I am most definitely planning on repurchasing this product. 10/10 from me!

GARNIER MICELLAR WATER REVIEW

Just about every time I read through beauty blogs I find myself scrolling past numerous reviews about Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water. If I'm completely honest, I just thought everyone was slightly crazy paying £5 for what looks like, and technically is, water in a bottle. Garnier states that 'like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin'. They also state that the result is perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without rubbing or rinsing.

I always find myself wanting my skin to feel super refreshed and just didn't have a product like this, so I decided to see what the hype was about. It was on offer in Boots for under £4 so I just grabbed one when I was in. I actually prefer to put this in the fridge as my house is super warm so when I'm ready to remove my makeup it's lovely and cold. If it's too cold for your skin, just remove it from the fridge an hour or so before using, or even just keep it out of the fridge. When I'm ready to remove my makeup, I just remove the micellar water from the fridge, apply to a cotton pad and then remove my makeup with it.

I found that this product removes waterproof mascara really well which is a massive factor for me as I absolutely love waterproof mascara but it is such a nightmare to remove! It really removes all of my makeup really well and is super sensitive on my eyes which is also a lifesaver as I'm forever finding myself in agony whilst having eye makeup remover invading my eyes. My favourite aspect of this is that it's sooooo great for refreshing my skin and is really great on a morning when my skin needs woken up. The only downside is that I feel this product leaves a little residue on my face, but that just may be me being a bit of a clean freak. Overall, I would most definitely repurchase!

OLD SCHOOL CORNFLAKE TART

There's nothing I love more than baking but sometimes there's just not enough time in the day so I decided to do a super quick, slightly cheating, cornflake tart. Yes, you read that right. Old school cornflake tart, just like you used to have in school! I had completely forgotten about this until my boyfriend mentioned it to me yesterday that he hadn't had one in forever. I was in my local supermarket before I went over to his house and I spotted a pastry case and since I had about an hour to spare I thought, why not make a super quick cornflake tart!? So I grabbed the pastry case, jam, cornflakes and golden syrup which came in super cheap at less than £4 for everything. Of course, the price will vary depending on what kind of ingredients you get and also the amount of ingredients will completely depend on personal taste also. I personally like a small amount of jam on the base and a lot of syrup and cornflakes but that's my personal preference! You can totally adapt this super quick recipe to suit you and your taste. You'll need your ingredients, a knife, a spoon and also a pan. So, here's how you do it...

- I placed the sweet pastry case on a clean surface.

- Evenly spread jam all over the bottom of the pastry case with a knife to cover it all.

- Place a pan over low heat and pour in your desired amount of golden syrup.

- Wait until the golden syrup is starting to become thinner and then add the cornflakes.

- Stir with a spoon for a couple of minutes to ensure that all of the cornflakes are covered in syrup.

- Once all covered, evenly spread the syrup covered cornflakes to the top of the tart.

And there you have it, A super quick and cheap old school cornflake tart.
Enjoy, I know I certainly did!

Do you have any super quick and easy recipes? Let me know!
I've put everything you need for this recipe, ingredients and utensils, in bold so if you decide you'd like to try it you won't have to search around!

Anyone who knows me will know I'm completely and utterly obsessed with lipstick. I thought I'd show you all my top five favourite lipsticks as I love to read about other people's favourites, so why not share mine with you! My top five favourites range in price from £8-£26 so there's something for everyone's budget. Depending on how I feel and what I'm wearing I like to have a variety of lipsticks to match anything.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Corail Incandescent
It's super pigmented and requires little application yet is still so bright therefore ensuring that it lasts so much longer than your average lipstick.

Chanel Rouge Allure in Extatique
You can adapt the intensity of the colour to suit you. It gets brighter with every application and is such a lovely yet sophisticated pink. I'm in love with the packaging.

Topshop lipstick in Ohh La La
This is such a lovely peach colour and is perfect for spring/summer. It's great for when you want a more natural lipstick yet still want a pop of colour.

Smashbox Overexposure in Smashing Pix
I looove how this lipstick pencil goes with absolutely everything. It's super pigmented and lasts so long.

Mac lipstick in Morange
Morange is absolutely perfect for summer and is so bright. It requires minimal application and only requires one coat for a bright pigmented colour.

JULY EMPTIES

I can't believe that July is over already! It seems like seconds ago we were just entering 2014 and now here we are, more than half way through the year. I thought I'd show you all of my 'empties' as I've gone through quite a lot of products last month. Basically, these are all of the products in which I've either came to the end to or have a tiny bit left of at the end of July. So here we go, my July Empties...

1. Chanel Correcteur Perfection Concealer in the shade 10 Beige Clair.
2. OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener
3. LancĂ´me Bi-Facil Eye Make-Up Remover
4. Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray
5. YSL Forever Youth Liberator Eye Cream
6. Bare Minerals Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer
7. Urban Decay Primer Potion
8. L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Waterproof Mascara
9. Mac Lipstick in the shade Morange

As you may have guessed, I would most definitely repurchase all of these products. I love mini products as they let you try the product without having to commit to purchasing the full size product as sometimes they can be quite expensive so it's good to try it beforehand. I've had some of these products for quite a while so they most definitely have took a while to use up. I guess I'm in need of a little restock!

What products have you been loving throughout July?
